DOODLE DEN

Doodle Den is an after-school literacy programme targeted at children aged 5 to 6 years of age in Senior Infants.

The programme  focuses on improving children’s literacy through a wide range of activities, with a child, parent,

and family component, and it places a strong emphasis on parental engagement.

DOODLE DEN IMPACT

Doodle Den is an evidence-based programme delivered to sixty senior infant children across four schools in Dublin 7 each year. The programme has been shown to improve literacy levels and pro-social behaviour among children and to also improve their engagement in education.

The School Completion Programme Dublin 1 & 7 holds the contract to coordinate Doodle Den in the Dublin 7 area on behalf of ABC Grangegorman.
